Orange Chocolate Chip cookies

(these are all I have left of the batch I left last night, and that's only because I am saving them for a friend)

These are some of my most favoritist cookies ever!!!  If you are not a fan of chocolate and orange together, these aren't for you, but if you are like me and will demolish a chocolate orange in 2 seconds flat, you must try these!  Or you could just leave the chocolate chips out and have a great orange flavored cookie (a vanilla flavored frosting would taste great with that too!!).

Ingredients
2/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. orange juice or pineapple juice
2-3 tsp orange zest
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 c. chocolate chips

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream shortening, sugar, egg, juice, and zest.  Mix in the rest of the dry ingredents.  Drop by tablespoons on a greased cookie sheet.  Bake 8-11 minutes.  Enjoy!!!

These do not spread a whole lot so you can load up the cookie sheet.  These are super yummy fresh out of the oven, or if you bake too many and don't finish tehm all (I never seem to have this problem) they freeze great and taste yummy frozen.
