Munchkin Monday: Turkey Cookies

For those of us who have the pleasure of cooking thanksgiving dinner with kids running around, we know what a relief it is for the kids to have something entertain themselves with. This is the perfect thing! These cookies are SO easy to prepare and SO easy to decorate!

All you need is: Sugar cookie dough, candy corn, chocolate frosting, black or orange frosting (in a tube, such as cake mate decorating icing), and M&Ms.

STEP 1:
First, start out with some refrigerated sugar cookie dough. The one I bought is Pillsbury, and it comes in a tube. all you need to do is slice the cookie dough in 1/2 inch thick pieces and place them on an ungreased cookie sheet for 12 minutes. SIMPLE.

STEP 2:
When the cookies are cooled, coat the top of each with a thick layer of chocolate frosting to attach the candy corns.
STEP 3:
Let the kids go! Make the tail feathers with the candy corns, the eyes with the M&Ms, and then simply make legs and a beak with the tubed frosting.

SO EASY. My son LOVES these, and they were fun for us to make together!
