Munchkin Monday: Pinecone Bird Feeders

The kids will be starting school back up the end of this month, but before they do make sure to do this fun activity/craft with them. My almost 4 year old loved doing this! I'm sure many of you have done or heard of these before. These are Pinecone Bird Feeders. They are easy to make, don't take much time, and the kids love them!

Step 1: Collect your pinecones, tie string on the top of them, and then cover completely with peanut butter. My daughter liked to collect  pinecones whenever we would go on walks in our neighborhood. This was a little tricky for her so I usually had to finish coating the pinecone with the peanut butter.

Step 2: Roll the pinecone around on a plate of  bird seed/food

Step 3: Grab all your pinecones and tie them onto a tree or any other place you think would be good!

We hung all of ours on our sad lilac bush. I think it may have got a bug or something, but it made for a great hanging place!

HAPPY CREATING!!!
