Foodie Friday: Healthy MozzarellaSticks

I came across this recipe of course on pinterest and wanted to try it out.  Mozzarella sticks are so expensive at fast food places and restaurants.  Not to mention deep fried. 

1. 3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs (plain will work too)
2. 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
3. 12 cheese sticks
4. 1-2 beaten eggs
5. 1/4 cup Flour

1. take off wrapper from cheese sticks and cut in half
2. Put cut cheese sticks in the freezer.  Let them get completely frozen
3. Once frozen prepare three bowls.  One that has flour, one that has egg, and one that has Parmesan and bread crumb mixture
4. take out cheese sticks dip them in the flour, then egg, and then bread crumbs.  Repeat egg and bread crumbs until completely covered in bread crumbs.  It took me two to three times to get them covered
5. Put in oven at 400 degrees for 6 minutes or you can put them back and the freezer and cook/enjoy them later for a quick dinner or snack
